K-12 ARIZONA ACADEMIC STANDARDS

Skyline South Phoenix Follows Skyline Education’s Rigorous Academic Program To Ensure The Academic Success Of Our Students.

We incorporate a college prep, Arizona academic standards-aligned curriculum for Academics, Arts, and Athletics, supported by the Arizona and National Common Core standards. Established in 2000, Skyline’s network of schools has a proven track record of education in Greater Phoenix and Chandler, AZ.

Skyline’s curricula are continually updated and revised as the Arizona Department of Education develops new standards and assessments. All core curricula are aligned to the state standards by curriculum teams. While Skyline’s curricula are based on Arizona’s academic standards, there is flexibility for adjustments based on student populations and individual school needs.

  • Course offerings may vary from campus to campus based upon available facilities, highly qualified staff, and adequate student enrollment.
  • Additional courses may be added throughout the year to meet the needs of the students.
  • All Skyline High Schools are accredited through Advance ED (formerly North Central Accreditation) and NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association)

UNIVERSAL DEISGN FOR LEARNING

Skyline Education promotes Universal Design for Learning (UDL). UDL is a set of principles for curriculum development that give all individuals equal opportunities to learn. UDL provides a blueprint for creating instructional goals, methods, materials, and assessments that work for everyone–not a single, one-size-fits-all solution but rather flexible approaches that can be customized and adjusted for individual needs.

DIGITAL LEARNING MODELS

Skyline’s digital blended learning models support students to learn at school and at home. Best practices are shared across Skyline’s network of schools, schools outside our network, the Arizona State Charter Association, National Central Association Commission on Accreditation, and the US Department of Education.

COLLEGE & CAREER READINESS STANDARDS

The Skyline network of schools has adopted College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) that are aligned with both Arizona academic standards and national standards. This supports our mission of providing high-quality education programs and services designed to stimulate life-long learning.
Skyline utilizes a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to promote our emphasis on Arizona’s academic standards. Our evidence-based practices are designed to support students’ academic and personal needs with varying levels of intervention to empower each student to achieve high standards
