Parent Involvement

We urge all parents to attend the forthcoming PAT (Parent Action Team) meetings and actively engage in shaping the development and education of their children. Our efforts cannot succeed in isolation, and parental involvement is essential to ensure that students achieve their maximum potential. We invite you to reach out to the principal or academic dean promptly and make plans to join us for the next meeting. Your participation is invaluable in nurturing a supportive and enriching learning environment for our students.

Every school offers academic assistance programs tailored to support students facing academic and/or social challenges, guiding them towards success by fostering self-esteem, promoting cooperation and teamwork, enhancing study skills, facilitating connections with adult mentors, and delivering academic support. These programs are designed to provide comprehensive assistance and encouragement, ensuring that every student has the resources and support necessary to thrive academically and socially.

The Skyline Prep South Phoenix campus provides a range of after-school programs, including high-quality, affordable childcare for students up to the age of 12. Our offerings include after-school programs, early release care, emergency childcare, as well as holiday and vacation camps. After-care services are available from Monday to Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and on Fridays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. For further details, please reach out to the registrar. We're here to provide comprehensive support for your child's needs beyond regular school hours.

If you're interested in learning about activities, clubs, classes, and events supported by the community, we encourage you to visit the registrar at the school's front office. We prioritize the classroom as a space solely dedicated to instruction, free from advertising. Therefore, we do not distribute flyers or information about non-school sponsored activities within our classrooms. Rest assured, our registrar can provide you with comprehensive details about community-sponsored opportunities to enrich your experience outside of school hours.

The Nutritional Services Department oversees various essential functions within the school system, including managing the National School Lunch Program, supplying refreshments for district events, and organizing nutrition education initiatives. Nutritional Services plays a significant role in shaping your child's school environment. All menus adhere to the guidelines set by the Federal Child Nutrition Program to ensure balanced and healthy meals. Moreover, meals are provided to students every school day at no cost. Additionally, we offer nutritious snacks at several after-school programs to support the well-being of our students beyond regular school hours.

At the start of each school year, every school hosts a Meet Your Teacher and/or a Curriculum Night event. We highly encourage all parents/guardians to attend these sessions. During these events, teachers will provide a brief presentation covering the curriculum, academic expectations, and behavioral guidelines for the upcoming year. It's a valuable opportunity for parents/guardians to connect with teachers, gain insights into their child's educational journey, and establish a collaborative partnership to support their academic success. Your participation is instrumental in fostering a strong school-home relationship and ensuring a positive learning experience for your child. 

Native American Programs provide educational and cultural enrichment for American Indian/Alaskan Natives (AI/AN) students, while promoting an active Native American community within our school.

The program aims to provide culturally-relevant academic assistance to students, and to increase parent/community participation in program and school activities. Persons eligible: Federally-recognized members of a tribe, band or other organized group of Indians, including those terminated since 1940; children or grandchildren of any such member of receding group; Inuit, Aleut, or other Alaskan Native considered by the Secretary of the Department of Interior to be an Indian. 

The site administrator oversees the Community Use of District Facilities, which includes outside fields, gyms, and other amenities. Despite being free public charter schools, Skyline Education schools are situated on private property and thus operate under different leasing protocols compared to traditional public schools.
